LEAGUE INKS DEAL FOR 'FAN-FRIENDLY' TICKET SERVICE
'RepeatSeat' to Assist Fans When They Can't Make it to the Game
(New York City) The National Lacrosse League announced
the addition of 'RepeatSeat' to the League's growing list of business
partners. RepeatSeat provides an online service that assists fans in
selling their tickets to other fans when they cannot attend a given
game. RepeatSeat will bring its 'Ticket Resale Marketplace' to the League.
The service is also valuable to the fans who are purchasing tickets-it
gives them a legal and safe way to purchase premium seating in areas
of the arena that are otherwise sold-out with season ticket holders.
In addition, RepeatSeat will also provide the National Lacrosse League
with their Season Ticket Renewal and Ticket Exchange Programs for implementation
this season. The three-year agreement between the League and RepeatSeat
starts with the upcoming 2001-2002 season, set to begin on November
16th.
"All of our fans and member clubs will benefit from our partnership
with RepeatSeat," said Commissioner Jim Jennings. "RepeatSeat's comprehensive
and flexible suite of products makes them the clear choice in the marketplace.
We are pleased to welcome them to the League."
"RepeatSeat is very excited about our partnership with the National
Lacrosse League and is committed to providing the league and each individual
team with the cutting edge technology needed to support the fastest
growing sport in North America", said George Davidson, President of
RepeatSeat. "RepeatSeat was the first company to market a Ticket Resale
Product and our patent pending technology continues to lead the industry
in functionality, user friendliness and overall acceptance".
RepeatSeat has a list of clients that include the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim
and the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League. The company also
provides their services for performing arts venues in major cities,
including New York City, Chicago, Toronto and Vancouver.
Details on how fans can use the RepeatSeat service will be released
shortly on the League's website, www.NationalLacrosse.com.
