REPEATSEAT SIGNS THE CALGARY PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA
RepeatSeat Inc., a leading global entertainment services company offering private label
ticketing in the United States, Canada and Europe, has signed a three-year agreement to
implement a fully integrated point-of-sale (POS) and Internet ticketing service offering with
the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO), one of Calgary’s leading arts organizations.
The CPO provides further validation to growing market awareness and interest in RepeatSeat’s
Ticketing Relationship Management (TRM™) business model.
The new ticketing system, which will be installed by April 2004, will allow the CPO to control
all aspects of its ticketing management system. RepeatSeat will design a system that provides increased
capability for CPO’s regularly scheduled as well as special events. More specifically, RepeatSeat will
assist the CPO through customized and functional ticketing software, system implementation, training, and
technical support. The CPO issues an estimated 75,000 tickets each season.
“We are thrilled to be working with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra and are pleased they
have chosen RepeatSeat as the best and logical solution to meet their needs,” said
Bob Christianson, Executive Vice-President, RepeatSeat Inc.
“Their decision to work with RepeatSeat is a great validation of our business model.
The CPO is recognized as a well respected and world-class entertainment organization.
Signing on an organization of this calibre is a validation of our TRM™ business proposition.”
With other customer service initiatives underway, the CPO was looking to improve its current
ticketing management system in order to provide superior customer service. The CPO was also
looking for a system that could provide it with strong, flexible reporting capabilities,
allowing it to develop services and programs best suited to its customers' needs and wants.
With RepeatSeat, the CPO feels it has a partner that can help it achieve these goals.
“We chose RepeatSeat because they have state-of-the-art ticketing software and are flexible in
developing the functionality we have identified as important to us,” said Mary Benning,
Director, Customer Relations, Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. “Furthermore, the RepeatSeat
team consists of a great group of people focused on offering a quality product in a pricing
structure that is affordable for us as a not-for-profit organization.”
RepeatSeat has also signed two other agreements with leading North American entertainment
organizations: Calgary’s Pumphouse Theatre and the world renowned Tampa Bay Blues Festival.
The agreement with Pumphouse Theatre will see RepeatSeat increase Pumphouse’s ticketing
management capability. The Theatre will soon be able to provide its many theatre clients with
access to a fully integrated ticketing inventory as well as real-time ticketing through the
Internet. For the 40,000 attendee Tampa Bay Blues Festival, RepeatSeat will install a
stand-alone box office management system that will allow the Festival to handle large ticket
volumes over the three-day event.
“We welcome the CPO, the Tampa Bay Blues Festival and Pumphouse Theatre to our growing list of
marquee partner venues,” said Christianson. “Clients of this magnitude will support our vision
to be a leading global entertainment services company.”
