The Orange County Choppers are Coming to Tempe November 5-7

First OCC Exhibit West of the Rockies

TEMPE, Ariz. (Aug. 30, 2004) – Orange County Choppers, virtual royalty of the custom motorcycle industry, featuring the colorful Teutul family-turned-television-stars, are coming to the Valley of the Sun, Nov. 5-7.

Circle K Presents the OCC in Tempe at the Tempe Town Lake will feature the entertaining Orange County, New York motorcycle squabbling team that produces among the most creative custom bikes in the world.  The Teutul family – Paul Sr., Paulie, Mikey – and the entire cast of characters (Vinney, Cody…) garner the largest audiences in cable television history.  The crew headlines the three-day festival featuring the OCC’s multimillion dollar traveling exhibit of favorite bikes.  A vintage motorcycle display, musical concerts, food and more make up the motorcycle lifestyle event.

"We are very excited to help bring the popular OCC team to the Valley,” stated Tom Rock, Director of Marketing for Circle K.   "This one-of-a-kind event will allow us to bring members of the popular show for the first time to Arizona for our customers to enjoy."

Tickets on Sale Now.  Advance ticket sales begin Aug. 30, available online only at www.occintempe.com.  Advance tickets are $20 (plus tax & handling).  Also available online only in advance is a complete weekend pass for $39 online (plus tax & handling).  At the gate, tickets will be $31.  RepeatSeat Inc. is exclusive event ticket provider and a portion of event proceeds goes to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of the East Valley.

Phoenix resident Don Birchfield, producer/promoter of Circle K Presents the OCC in Tempe, said, “It’s been a thrill working with the Teutul family and their entire team for their first event west of the Rockies.  This is the OCC’s first visit out West for a show and we expect fans to be all over this. It’ll be an enjoyable time for all.”

The Orange County Choppers has a notable celebrity following, recently designing a bike for pro golfer Davis Love III and delivering Wil Smith’s commissioned bike on the red carpet of the premier of his current film iRobot.

Orange County Choppers has broken ratings records for cable television and the Teutuls are featured on AOL commercials depicting the speed of the ISP with a rocket powered motorcycle.

Also debuting at the event is Arizona-based Saxon Motorcycle Company, an industry sponsor of the event.  Saxon arrives on the motorcycle scene building an American lifestyle brand that combines an exclusive custom bike experience with professional customer service.

Community Support Strong.  Stephanie Nowack, president & CEO, Tempe Convention & Visitors Bureau is ready for the crowds to converge on the city: “The OCC in Tempe is perfect for us since we promote Tempe as the fun, active destination of choice in the Valley.  We’re pleased to have the stars of such a popular television program visit our city to display their wonderful motorcycles that are literally works of art.  Tempe welcomes them for the first OCC in Tempe – and the first time their exhibit will be seen west of the Rocky Mountains.”
